For the week of Wednesday 28 October through Tuesday 03 November
If your friends and family often tell you that your quiet strength is inspiring to them and you find yourself wanting to keep up with your reputation and never show any weakness, you should step back for a while and ask yourself why you need to be seen like that so much. Life with a baby can be exhausting and there is no shame in that, so if your little one’s erratic behavior is taking a toll on you, just say it and people will be happy to help.
There is something magic and mesmerizing in watching your big baby turning into an independent toddler. This week could be enlightened by an important milestone – at least to you it will feel important! For the moms whose child goes to preschool, chances are you’ll hear good things about how serious and attentive they are. You could be surprised because, really, you’re still to see this part of their personality at home, but you’ll feel proud for your little adventurer. Keep praising them and soon you’ll witness this too.
Most of you are the guardian of family traditions and would never miss an occasion to gather the extended tribe and celebrate. If one of your kids is having their birthday soon, you’ll want to start planning, but make sure to include them in the business or you could end up with a grumpy teen on D-day. If this is other way around and you are invited to a big event, see with your children how you can make it smooth for them too, even though they might not be ecstatic about the whole thing.
If you love cooking and have always considered the dinner table to be one capital for your family to debrief at the end of each day, a sudden change in your kid’s habits could sadden you. Wait until the end of the week to see if it lasts or it was only temporary, then you can try and find out why they have deserted the supper table. Moms with a bunch of young adults at home, make sure to keep them well fed.
